I've never seen anything exactly like that, and it would make me a bit uncomfortable at a wedding (I don't know why), but it does make me wonder what their story is. Who knows what brought them to this point. Maybe a miracle has happened in their life or lives that brought them to such a praise at their wedding.

That's true, Sweet Pea. I had not given that point consideration. Thanks for bringing it up.
I'm not saying this is wrong. I think for some it would be almost expected. I just thought when I saw it how my friends and family would be soooo freaked out. Interesting thought tho, SP.

I don't find it appealing, nor do I see it as any proof that the Spirit was there (though I am not say He was not either.

I didn't find it "appealing" either. I understand what was going on, but I would have been uncomfortable at a wedding if this happened. I simply wondered if there was some special reason in their lives to give God such exuberant ( ) praise during their wedding. If you listen closely, the minister makes reference at the end that makes me think that.

Re: I've been around a long time and never seen th
There's actually two blondes sise by side lost in the crowd, the one (male) is lost in the 80's. (2 min's in).
This video kinda makes me ponder how I ever ended up being a part of modern day "Pentecost".
Somewhat cultural no doubt...

How about you? Have you ever been to a wedding like this one? What do you think? What about the guests who are not Apostolic??

WOW! That was AWESOME!!!!
Too bad worshipping in the Holy Ghost seems to be too 'unrefined' for some folks!
As for the 'non apostolic guests'... two thoughts.
1. They should have known, going to a Pentecostal wedding, that ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN! ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN when the Lo-o-ord is near! Jesus all around us! Jesus all around us! Anything can happen when the Lo-ord is here! And with the Spirit, movin all around us! anything can happen when the Lo-ord is near! HAHAH!!!
2. We are a savour (an aroma)... of life unto life, and of death unto death. People with the Holy Ghost feel at home when the spirit moves, when people worship God and give Him praise with freedom in the spirit. But, people who DO NOT have the Holy Ghost, are often freaked out senseless when the spirit moves. They think you are messed up, crazy ('will they not say ye are mad?') or on drugs ('they are filled with new wine...'). They feel UNCOMFORTABLE being around the Spirit of God and being around people who are let loose in His Presence. I have seen it PERSONALLY many times, including at 'home bible studies' and impromptu prayer meetings.
I saw my brother leave the house because he was flipped out about us praying.... he came back later and talked with us about it. A couple of years later, we all had another prayer meeting, and someone we all knew was in dire need, and the Spirit broke in on our little prayer gathering, and it wound up lasting most of the night with lots of tongues, interpretation, prophesying, singing in the Spirit, and hardcore intercession. My brother at that time was DESPERATE FOR GOD TO MOVE. And he was not so freaked out that time, either, as he now knew WHY PEOPLE GET 'carried away' with God. Not to mention a miracle resulted, and a child's life was spared, and lots of doctors and 'out of state specialist experts' were confounded, and prophesies came true, and my brother would be the first to tell you 'those Pentecostal people know how to reach God.'
I say GOD BLESS THOSE PEOPLE, I am sure their marriage will be a strong one as long as they keep on keepin on with God.
Oh, and the two blondes? They look like the type that would be uncomfortable at a Presbyterian church meeting, let alone a Pentecostal wedding!

Re: I've been around a long time and never seen th
What about the crazy drum beat that started and then the groom started "moving".... I think this is another example of how a drum beat, music, lights (referencing another recent post) are all part of the emotionalism and hype to get people to start moving, and then call it a "move of the Holy Ghost."
Personally, I saw nothing that resembled true worship, it seemed more of a movement to the beat of that drum....
Now if this had all happened without the drum beat, and with uplifted hands and faces, and tears streaming down faces... I would be more inclined to attribute this to a move of the Spirit.
Without being there personally, and knowing the situation, and the people involved, it is indeed hard to gauge such a thing from just a video... but the crazy drum beat and then the wild movement with that drum beat.... leads me to believe that this was movement in response to a drum beat.... just my take on the matter.

I think if you watch closely you will see that the drummer started up with the cymbals first before the kick, and I thought I could hear an organ or something before the 'beat' started, and all that seemed to be in RESPONSE to the actions of the bride and groom when the preacher said 'I know pronounce you...' at which point the groom and the bride took off and the drum, organ, preacher, and choir and half the sisters and brothers in the audience took off with them.
Keep in mind this is a black church, where very often the musicians express what they are feeling through their instruments rather than just jumping up and shoutin. In fact, what you witnessed on that video was a 'shoutin time' or a 'shout', common in old school Pentecostal churches and also in many black churches (quite a few of which, although they do not call themselves Pentecostal, are in fact Pentecostal).
Also, the sound quality is low, so the kick and snare stand out over most everything else.

Re: I've been around a long time and never seen th
I think everyone notices the blond and Rickard Branson look-a-like sitting a few rows back. But like I said in my first post on the subject, it is their wedding so whatever floats their boat is fine. They "got jiggy with it" at their wedding and we had ours at a casino. I dare say that we felt God more at OUR wedding then they did at theirs only because I get the feeling they do the "Ohhhhhhh glowwwww-errrrrreeeeeeeeeee!" jig at EVERY church service, and I felt God simply blessing our union at ours and didn't need to "have good church!" in order to feel Him.
