4. Willingness to serve. The Church cannot be the Body of Christ without men and women and young people being willing to to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Especially with the children and the elders. We need people who are willing to serve in the nursery, children's church, minister to the senior saints. Also willing to serve in the community: food pantry, clothes closet, homeless, needy, etc.

5. Pleasant attitude. Not a part of the armchair quarterbacks that always have a disgruntled view of what the ministry is doing but even when it's something that doesn't appeal to your personal tastes or preferences, you trust that your church leaders are trying their best to reach the lost and build the Kingdom of God. Don't be petty about non issues or make everything about you and your peers.

6. Willingness to be open to new people. Avoid being cliquish. Don't constantly surround yourself with people who are your close friends, but take time to get to know new members of the church.

7. Invest in the community of the church. Attend extra curricular stuff: picnics, potlucks, work days, group outings, socials, stuff beyond Sunday. Build relationships within the community of the church and be a part of the life of the church. It's got to be more than just worshipping together,

Nor should the act of giving birth be a suitable excuse either. After all it is well known that a woman's body will not go into labor if her church is having a legitimate service that she needs to be at.
