btw...I am Native American and my husband is black...not welcomed in MOST churches we have seen~ ESPECIALLY in the south~ When we had to move to the south for a few years bc of my husbands job...we were asked to leave one church and shunned so bad at another...it made it impossible to go just to worship. My husband and I are not from the south and totally unaware that some people can be so hateful....but life goes on ~ Still holding my head up and proud of my heritage and MY wonderful HUSBAND that GOD brought into my life 32 years ago!!!! A Very blessed and strong marriage...in spite of what SOME may think of "interracial marriages"

So sad to hear this! No doubt you were treated like a second class citizen because of race or interracial marriage. The early church had the same type of problems with the Jews looking at the gentiles as second class citizens of the church.
Gal 2:11 But when Peter came to Antioch,
I had to oppose him to his face, for what he did was very wrong.
Gal 2:12 When he first arrived, he ate with the Gentile Christians, who were not circumcised. But afterward, when some friends of James came, Peter wouldn't eat with the Gentiles anymore.
He was afraid of criticism from these people who insisted on the necessity of circumcision.
Peter was afraid of what his other Jewish friends would think or say!
Gal 2:13 As a result, other Jewish Christians followed Peter's
hypocrisy, and even Barnabas was led astray by their hypocrisy.
Notice that this kind of stinkin' thinkin' is called "hypocrisy"!
Gal 2:14 When I saw that
they were not following the truth of the gospel message, I said to Peter in front of all the others, "Since you, a Jew by birth, have discarded the Jewish laws and are living like a Gentile,
why are you now trying to make these Gentiles follow the Jewish traditions?
Gal 2:15 "You and I are Jews by birth, not 'sinners' like the Gentiles.
You and I are Jews, but we are no better in God's eyes than any other race of people.
Gal 2:16 Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law.
