News about the dangers of drinking diet soda

I do not allow my children to have any pop but especially Diet pop, and that they call it that is ridiculous! I like to have carbonated sparkling water that you can buy in the can and add a couple drops of Mio for taste. Tastes great and gives me the satisfaction of thinking I am drinking pop.

I've been eating "clean" for a couple months. I gave up Diet Dr. Pepper several months back and drink unsweetened tea (or w/Stevia) and water.

The past two weeks I've cut out sugar for the most part. I still have 100 sugar calories a day and a few more a couple days a week to keep everything level.

Sugar is in EVERYTHING almost, so you really have to look closely at labels. If there are any carbs in it, you then multiply that by four and that's the sugar calories. I'm mainly limiting my sugar to natural sugar in fruits. An apple has 92 sugar calories, so that's about it for the day.

Since I've been a carboholic, it's been a real challenge, but hopefully, by next week, I will have all the excess sugar and cravings out of my system.

There you go - no fat, no carbs. Drink enough, you won't be able to locate any food in your house. You could lose 20 to 30 lbs in two weeks.

I don't recall Tequila making you aware of that any more than it would that you have food in the house.
