I know that our church sings songs written by Apostolic's.

I asked the worship leader if he knew who the author was and he said yea but anointed is anointed.

My response was amen!!!!

Oh yea the Holy Ghost fell during worship that morning!

You are sorry for everything! Now, if you'll just go to the mirror and realize that Religion has you by the throat, not the heart.

The early church sang songs written or approved by David! David the adulterer! David the murderer! Can you believe it! Annnnd if that's not enough, David was living under the Law of Moses, Who would have thunk it.

Re: Riddle Me This!

There is only one church. As with most positions there are different opinions among those who hold a given position. Some Apostolics believe that the there was a remnant within the institutional church during any given age that were saved by the very mercy of God, in spite of what mistaken notions they might have held. They believe that God has been restoring the church to her First Century patterns and methods since the Great Apostasy of the Roman Catholic Church. Those who hold to the restorationist position typically believe that the church is being restored by a series of revivals, such as those listed below:
Lutheran Church - AD 1517: Saw - Justification by faith...

Presbyterian Church - Ad 1536: Saw - Communion as a Memorial...

Congregational Church - AD 1580: Saw - Separation of Church and State...

Baptist Church - AD 1609: Saw - Water Baptism by Immersion...

Methodist Church - AD 1739: Saw - Personal Holiness...

Christian Church - AD 1820: Saw - Baptism for Remission of Sins...

Trinitarian Pentecostalism - AD 1900: Saw - Baptism of the Holy Ghost - Evidence: Speaking with Tongues as in Acts chapter 2 on the day of Pentecost…

Restoration of Apostles Doctrine from 33 A.D. - AD 1914
The revelation of God in Christ (ONENESS), and the truth of baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins…
While many hard line Apostolics are praying for revival within the movement, Restorationist Apostolics believe that WE ARE THE REVIVAL God has sent to Christendom at large.

What will the next great wave of revival bring???

Re: Riddle Me This!

Many Legacy Christians have experienced the baptism of the Holy Ghost... although they don't fully understand what happened to them. While they were not baptized "in the name of Jesus"... they were obedient seeking hearts desiring to obey God and were "baptized". While most claim an orthodox view of God (the Trinity) most don't fully understand the Trinity and often fall into Madalistic views and explanations of God unintentionally.

We can't automatically judge the heart of another based on what banner they have landed under.

King James was a Trinitarian... do we throw out the KJV Bible?
John Newton was a Trinitarian... do we never sing Amazing Grace again?

We need to get beyond all this and be the revival God has called us to be.
