Understanding Trump's Appeal

Of course, I would be the dissenting voice in this debate.
I can see why so many are angry that Rush has created a monster with his talking points regarding Trump.
And so, I will show you my opinion as to why Rush's commentary is a great prediction, but also why Trump is the worst candidate for that scenario.
Let's look at "what" a candidate says instead of looking at "electability".
I will leave documentation on issues showing that Donald J. Trump is NOT a credible conservative on any of them. He has flip-flopped on every major issue.
First, let's look at Sarah Palin who came out on the world stage lending her voice to strong conservative principles. We know that Donald Trump is no conservative. What does that tell me?
1. She thinks Donald can win, regardless of holding to her values, wants on the Trump train. She is like Trump - all about herself and her image.
2. She is very bitter against the GOPe for throwing her under the bus in 2008, which she reflected in her first endorsement speech with Trump.
What I can say is that Senator Ted Cruz has been treated horribly by the Establishment, YET, he stands on his conservative principles and walks on, with his head high, not getting into the filthy mud of attacking a person's character.
So, while people are, deservedly, angry, they are not looking at the big picture as to what a populist, although Trump isn't really a populist, would do to our country -
they are crying - GIVE US BARABBAS!
Red Flag No. 1:
We saw, recently, a Planned Parenthood hearing where PP showed their annual report reflecting they do VERY well without government funding.
Favors Single-Payer Healthcare

Scott Pelley: Universal health care.
Donald Trump: I am going to take care of everybody. I don’t care if it costs me votes or not. Everybody’s going to be taken care of much better than they’re taken care of now.

Says he is going to support religious freedom, but sides against Kim Davis. Note that her new Governor Matt Bevin, protected religious freedom.
Is he a friend of our Democratic ally in the Middle East - Israel?
Quote:
Trump would 'really like to do' an Israel/Palestine peace deal
"A lot will have to do with Israel and whether or not Israel wants to make the deal, whether or not Israel's willing to sacrifice certain things," Trump said.

Regarding Tariffs:
Quote:
Trump is caught lying about his China tariff proposal—and it would hurt his supporters the most
Ultimately, imposing a massive tariff on Chinese goods would not necessarily improve the US economy. Among the consequences economists would expect:
Prices rising for consumers

You can't distance yourself from agreeing on a candidate's policy when you donate the big bucks.
Favors Amnesty while bashing Cruz who has never argued or supported Amnesty in any floor speech or amendment offered.
Quote:
Who Knew? Trump Favors Amnesty for Undocumented Immigrants
That’s right. Under Trump’s immigration plan, almost all of the 11 million illegal aliens (save for a small minority with criminal records) will get to return and get permanent legal status to stay here in America.
Trump supports amnesty.

Would he rule out appointing his sister permanently? We don't know.
