Re: Rev Carroll McGruder prophecy
I just think we as believers need to stop predicting the second coming. It makes us all look dumb when it doesnt happen.

Amen!

Amen.
And just spreading fake stories in general.
At that same Bible college people tried to tell me about an evangelist who was in a jungle in Africa, came across a native tribe, and they were doing a Satanic dance in an evil ritual. The dance? It was the Macarena. Yeah, right.
There's so many more I could go on about. I get to thinking: if Satan is the father of lies, then what is the source of these stories? And what is the motivation to make them up?

No, I never went to The Holmes Campmeeting. This was the Arkansas District Campmeeting in Redfield, AR.

Clinton and prophesied that Jesus would return while he was president. We all know that if Hillary is the next president of the United States, God will recognize Bill as head of the household as the president, not her. So the prophecy could come true. Now, it could be one of those "Pentecostal Urban Legends." Or it could be real. I have no idea. Back in the 90's I tried to track down the preaching tape from that service but to no avail. I even contacted Rev. McGruder to ask him if the story was true but he never replied. Has anybody heard about this? And if anybody here has the tape, I would appreciate a digital copy of it!

Re: Rev Carroll McGruder prophecy
It seemed that back during those years there were all sorts of stories going around. I remember being told that Queen Elizabeth II and Barbara Bush had spoken in tongues and that Coretta Scott King had been baptized in Jesus' Name.
