We must teach control, and moderation, we must teach people to use their brains instead of believing everything that they see, read and hear.
We must learn "it is not true just because it is on the internet".

I never brought up " banning" anything. That was not my point nor was it the point of the article.
I think too many people here have some kind of "UPC abuse syndrome" or something, where everything is filtered through the lens of "What would the UPC say? Let's argue against THAT!"
TV/video has biological effects people ought to be aware of. That is all.

Re: Television and its adverse effects on consciou
It seems if you say something is bad for someone, then they'll assume you are trying to condemn them. Television is not bad in and of itself, but certainly can be. Most everything should be done in moderation and with carefulness. Many people would be better off to simply eliminate it completely from their life. I have noticed what can be a vice for one may not be for another. P.S. I really don't know of any cable programming that is fit to watch.

I agree, actually I would encourage people to minimize or eliminate TV from their lives, but it should be a voluntary step, without the threat "watch TV go to hell", which is a fear inspired man made rule.
I am not pro-TV in any way or shape, what I am against is autocratic despotic man-made rules.

I agree. Fear restrains and love motivates. If we can get people to move beyond do's and don'ts and lead them to a love for the kingdom of God. If people are really connected and are being the body of Christ there isn't going to be much time for things like t.v. The problem with making a bunch of rules for people to follow is that it doesn't change the heart of the person.

Brother Isaias, I liked the article you posted.
Not being scientifically oriented, I can only assume that the
information was correct. But I had to exercise self-control
over my personal opinion(s) . . . so I had to make doubly sure
I first REMOVED the tainted eyeglasses that seem to cause
reading with a slanted bias and prejudice.
It seems most folks seem to forget to do that.

Great role model.
You must love the stories about the Jungle room.
