This isn't hatred for Trump, it's a fact. He got the info from a French journalist.
You want to make a guy President simply because he looked at a country in Europe which has allowed too many refugees, then half the country should be in line. Trump mentioned Paris in the same quote, though it was after the Paris attack. Guess he missed that one.
The heat he took was because he referred to Brussels as a "hellhole," not because he said there were terrorists there.
