Correct. Here in AZ, voters gave Trump a landslide victory; however, the state convention in which delegates are selected to represent AZ is coming up soon, and indications are the delegates will be heavily favored towards Cruz. They're bound to Trump on the first ballot, but after that, the majority, if not all, will vote for Cruz.

The only wrench in this could be Rubio resurrecting his campaign for the contested convention.

I believe that Rubio has held on to his delegates so that they wouldn't be automatically handed to Donald Trump. He wants to give them to Ted Cruz.

And Rubio simply endorsing Cruz wouldn't guarantee this. Not that it's guaranteed any way, but it's more likely to succeed than the delegates being released through an endorsement.

Haven't thought of that scenario. But I like it!

According to AZ state delegates, a lot are masquerading as "stealth Cruz delegates" to avoid being shut out of Cleveland. Both Trump's and Cruz's people are running stealthy as if they might go some other way. Not sure if it will work, though, the GOP is pretty nasty and desperate to maintain their gravy train.
