We recently moved to the mid Atlantic and have literally stumbled on a couple of lesser known national parks. Great Falls National Park is just west of DC. Absolutely beautiful scenery of the Potomac. I also spent a day at Shenandoah national park. Another beautiful landscape nestled in the Blue ridge mountains.
