I like my bacon cooked in iron skillet which gives it the right flavor.
I don't like radiating my food because it just doesn't taste the same to ME.
People have to deal with their own taste buds. I do understand that people can eat absolute horrid tasting food but walk away satisfied. But as for me and my house we will stick with pork cooked in iron over a flame.

My wife is against pork, and I don't cook, so I'm up the creek...

Please explain to your wife that it was the advent of Christianity which made pork the main dish.
Acts 10:15!
Pork especially chicharrones and bacon! Are very Christian!

Yeah I do mine in the oven at times too. It makes it to where I don't have to babysit a skillet and I can focus more on cooking eggs hehe

Not at all! Cooking bacon in the microwave is super easy and the results are amazing, you just have to experiment a bit with the time setting. It is usually anywhere from 1 to 4 minutes depending on how crispy you like it and how powerful you're microwave is. Be sure to save the grease for your beans!
