Re: My Favorite Oneness Song
I love too many songs to pick a favorite, but I have occasional "current" favorites. Right now, this would be my current favorite Oneness song (even though the writer isn't Oneness).

Re: My Favorite Oneness Song
This is actually, seriously, my favorite "Oneness" song although I was surprised awhile back to find that some on here did not consider it one.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

It's not necessarily a bad song (needs some tweaks to the lyrics), but "Our God is three in one" is hardly what I would classify as "Oneness". That's Trinitarian language through and through.
I similarly do not like:
He's God in the Father
He's God in the Son
He's God in the Holy Ghost
And all these three are one And before you bring it up, yes I know that "three are one" is how it's worded in 1 John; but I'd point out that this is the only verse it's ever worded that way, so I don't use it as a guideline for how I describe the Godhead.

Why not? How many times does the bible have to say something before it becomes a manner we can use as well? The idea that two or three witnesses applies to how many times a truth is spoken is severely offkey, if that's an implication here..

No, that wasn't the implication I intended. There's also the fact that the verse in question is considered somewhat dubious in its origins. While I don't go so far as to say we should remove or ignore it (I accept all verses as they are, even the "dubious" ones), I would stop short of using it in regular vernacular.

Re: My Favorite Oneness Song
Good Oneness song which takes theology proper and shows how practical it can be:
