LOL

When we were in the funeral home the room I used to teach the teen class had several coffins in it and one of them even had a skeleton in it, which I still don't know if it was fake or real. You would be suprised how many teens we got to coming because they wanted to see the skeleton in the coffin. We even named the thing Fred. He worked as a great outreach tool actualy and at times a good visual aid...........

LOL

We had to unusual forms of outreach because every time we had a service someone would always stop by to find out who had died...........

It was an exspereince I will never forget.....

We're currently in a borrowed facility (rent free), but we are beginning to think it may be time for us to find a new place in the near future. No strife between us and the folks letting us use it, but we're slowly becoming too big for the place and we want to start thinking about a new place to meet.

We're too big of a group to meet in a home.

Most of the places I've checked into are either ridiculously expensive for our budget or not open on weekends... specifically Sundays.

I've tried local restaurants with meeting rooms. They're taken.

I've tried libraries... not open on Sunday.

I've tried corporate meeting facilities who do nothing but rent out meeting rooms... not open on weekends.

Movie theaters... WAY out of our budget.

Just looking for some other ideas that I may not have thought about yet.

My first suggestion is use a Public School Building, by law they generally have to let you if meet their insurance, liablitiy requirements and can pay for the Janitor to come in and open up.

Tell me about your vision?

If I were to do it over again, I would only have one public service a month and grow the groups in such a way that they mulitiply until you have at least 75-100 attending then do a weekly public meeting.
