In the day we live, the day where women can work outside the home; the day were women can hold local, statewide, and national office; in a day where women can be just about anything in the work force of sports broadcasting that has been basically male driven for years. Why can't they not be leaders in the spiritual field, infact, some would say they have power on their head...another discussion for another day; most of you know how I feel about the hair thing; so why couldn't a women become a pastor or be a spiritual leader over a group of people?
Some make agruements about respect and the man being the head of the house. Fair arguements. I disagree. For in
Acts 2:17 says, "And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God,
I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams." Tie that with the Great Commison that teaches us to reach out to the lost.
Here is my conclusion of my point. I feel that women can be pastors. Though not a solo pastor. I feel the same way for a man. I feel that a man should not pastor being a single man. This does not mean that he needs to resign if his spouse dies, but to have never been married before and be a single pastor male or female is a problem waiting to happen. I feel that if God has called the women to pastor then He will also put a man or husband over her to submit to. I feel that a women can pastor in ever way that a man can, but the husband should be the spiritual lead of their home, as well as the final say in the ministry. Just as in a man ministry he listens to his wife she should likewise do the same. IMO. I love women preachers. You ever hear of Sheryl Brady?
