Most of our people at this new church are just converted "heathens" or people who are from other denominal churches who are hungry for more of God. We get very few people in from other Spirit filled churches, including UPC.
Not to hijack the thread here . . . but this post doesn't make sense to me.

the others lined up right away except for one lady who stil wore her slits, short sleeves and wedding band.
2 of them got married and moved away.
2 of them left and went to a liberal church
2 got jobs that took them out of state
2 stayed
the lady that was the exception at first has became one of the better saints in the church....*btw she finally lined up and testifies to this day that we were never rude to her about her wedding band we just preached against it with a good spirit
First, it's amazing the numerology in play here . . . they're all in 2s!
Out of all these, which seem to number a grand total of 10 . . . only 2 stayed. And this is a good thing?
We have one family come back to our church within the past year.
60% Current members
39% New Converts
1% Founder's daughter and her husband who returned to the area after living out of the state for 30 years. The only thing she is good for is gossip and backstabbing. Just because papa founded the church over 50 years ago, she thinks she has the right to run the church. Other than that cancer, our congregation is the greatest in the world.

Very few. I make them jump through so many hoops the roamers don't come here. I have no desire to build a church off other Pentecostal churches even the liberal ones. Most roamers(not all) have serious problems. Hitchhikers are dangerous.

LOL! a half a dozen years ago, I was talking to a pastor that was wringing his hands over this couple that had told him they were leaving.
I told the guy to stop it, they were leaving when they got there. (they had hopped into his church from another church across town.)

True as a young preacher I was in a fellowship meeting where all the preachers were commenting on Roman Catholics. I said the Roman Catholics never bothered me it was the ROAMING Pentecostals that caused most church problems.
What Percentage of your Church has come from another Church?
What percentage of your Church was raised there?
Guessing....
70%
15%

I am a firm believer in the Old Paths
Articles on such subjects as "The New Birth," will be accepted, whether they teach that the new birth takes place before baptism in water and Spirit, or that the new birth consists of baptism of water and Spirit. - THE PENTECOSTAL HERALD Dec. 1945
"It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves
I would think this would be close to 100%. There are many Oneness Churches in this area, so people just "transfer" then "transfer again" then "transfer again"...Well, you get the picture. We are saturated in this area and not much fellowship. ......I have often wondered what life would be like in another area of the world.
