She had a severe bleeding ulcer. They found one previously existing ulcer that had healed. But a new one was bleeding profusely. She lost over 4 pints of blood. Horrible!
They were able to cauterize the vein so no surgery is planned at this time. She was able to eat a little bit today. But will stay in the hospital until they determine she is healed enough to be out of the woods.
Thank the Lord for keeping His hand on her. She is very dear to our hearts.
Many thanks to all of you for touching God for Aunt Billye. Bless you!

She was just rushed to the hospital gushing blood from her stomach. Hemorraging...They are giving her blood transfusions, but she is losing much blood. They are going in with a scope and trying to cauterize. If they can't, they'll do surgery.
Aunt Billye gives and gives and gives. She has been caring for her sister, My Aunt Boots, who has Alzheimers. She also cares for her son, Steve High, who has been very ill lately with a staff infection in his bones.
She gives so much of herself....
Dear Lord please send your healing touch on Aunt Billye right now. In Jesus Name we pray...
In Jesus name Sister D, we will be in prayer.

This just in regarding Aunt Billye. Thank you all for your prayers!
Dear Friends,
Billye High took very sick yesterday with internal hemorrhaging and is in the hospital now in ICU. I just talked to David Craig and he gave me a very detailed explanation. I will try to relate it to you.
I think he said she was feeling well at noon yesterday and ate lunch but by 2 PM she became very sick. They couldn't tell what was wrong. At some time she began vomiting. They called 911 and got her to the hospital about 8:30 last night. She was even vomiting after they put the tube down her throat.
Under sedation, using the tube with a camera they found the source of the bleeding and cauterized it, but she had lost so much blood. She lost 7 pints and the body only holds 10 pints.
About 2AM David and David Craig were able to go home for a little rest and was back again early this morning. David C said it was hard to come in and see his Mother with the tubes and under forced breathing.
When I talked to him before 6 PM she was doing real well, Praise God! She was sitting up in a chair and eating some soup. He was so pleased with her progress. He could hardly believe how well she is doing now. Jean and Mike Carlen were up to see her last night and Pastor and Nancy Kilgore visited her today. I know that made her feel so much better.
David C thinks that she will have to be there at least until or through Friday. Tomorrow at noon they will give her solid food and make sure that she will be able to digest it properly without any problems.
Be sure to keep her and the family in your prayers for a complete recovery.
