Cause that's the opposite of cons and I was refuting/correcting your former statement....

Play along here...

Thad not to discount this ... but this could also happen in any applebees or chilis too. Are you sure one of these places isnt where they were and you misunderstood? These are not considered sports bars. They do have bars also however as you know pentecostals have been eating at (well most of them) these type establishments for years. and yes they play games all the time this time of year in those places thats about all you will find.

just a thought

Probably more fact than just a thought, AG...some of this speculation is bordering on rediculous.

The reason this comes to mind Sis Barb is the fact that yea... when we go to the conference in Ms every yr. or however often able.. thats where we all end up.. for one reason its closest to the church and 2nd they stay open late for us no matter what time service ends. The other thing to take into consideration is a lot of times when it is a conference like so... if the group rents out the place or reserves it for an entire group.. they usually also close down the bar when everyone comes in.. not always but a lot of times... I know they do this and I have many times for things I have organized in the past they have offered as soon as they know it is a group of ministers coming and if we reserve more than 75% of the resteraunt.

Thad...I know who sent this tidbit to you!! I was at the same sports bar (if it was Champions at the Marriott) and I can confirm that there was a bunch of preachers watching the game. The Ohio State game was on as well as the Florida game. One table of preachers (older) left as soon as the game was over. A well known preacher was going around to the tables saying....see....in a joking manner. They were glued to the TV's!!

Because libs don't think watching a sports game on TV is a sin and sends you to hell where cons do.
