Yeah I know...kinda pricey but I might try it someday. I think it's better though to have a professional chef cook them

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Don't miss Carmine's...you can go to the one in the Times Square area, but I'd go to the Carmine's on Broadway between West 90th and 92st Street. It's on the East side of Broadway.
It has wonderful family-style Italian, but much, much more. Don't miss it.

Felidias It is run by a woman named Lydia who does a cooking show on public television on Saturdays.
It is pretty awesome.
One of the best meals I have had in New York (and I've been pretty much everywhere Man...) was a Gyro from a wagon vendor just off times square. Awesome!!

Grimaldi's Pizza - under the Brooklyn Bridge, on the Brooklyn side. Definitely worth finding!! It's a hole-in-the-wall place, but a famous pizza place.
Rosie O'Grady's (Irish) - 2 locations, one near Times Square and one a little further north on 7th Ave.
Sal Anthony's - (Italian) - in Little Italy, probably on Mulberry St. too.
Buttercup Bakery - I think at 51st & 2nd, or very close to there. Worth going to for homemade cupcakes and other desserts. The spice cupcakes with cream cheese icing are amazing! They also have German Chocolate ones and several more bland ones. But trust me, the spice cake ones are the BEST!! We go here everytime we go to NY.
Just a word of advice if you're going to the Parade, get there very early or you will be in the back of the crowd. We got there at 7 am, on the south side (near Macy's) and we were right up front at the police barracades, but we had to stand there for about 3 hours before we saw anything. That was the coldest I've ever been in my life (in 2000)! The next year it was about 55 degrees at Thanksgiving, so you never know! Lots of people watch the parade from their hotel windows, but it's just not the same as being down in the excitement of the crowd.
Where are you staying?

Thanks for all the suggestions. We have our plane tickets but still haven't decided where to stay. We were looking at the Milford Plaza but it doesn't look like anything is available for three people. Our eleven year old son is going with us. He was upset last year when we went and he didn't get to go. I am paranoid about keeping him close in NYC.

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions! I love Italian and my husband loves steak. It sounds as if we have plenty to choose from.
