Possibly. But it would be a little hard to enforce . . . especially if anyone in that district wanted to use tv ads. Could get messy since the organization has already voted to allow it.

I don't think it would serve any purpose, because a majority of the UPCI voted for it, and with many churches leaving a resolution would not pass at the district level anyway.

Possibly... Of course that would be passing a resolution of disagreement with the org.

But... should that be possible... a letter put out to a district by the district superintendent would not, in any way, constitute such a district resolution nor would it have any weight of authority whatsoever.

I think this brother is too used to being able to tell people what to do even when he has no authority to do so.

Nope, I was and am against it. I just don't think it would serve any purpose. The majority has stated the direction of their boat, and many are unhappy with that direction, including myself. A district resolution will not change that direction.

The chances of a district resolution passing will be low, especially after the Tulsa Meeting, when another choose is available for strong, conservative brethren.

I am NOT surprised! I told our former DS (when he began to tell me where I could preach and who I BETTER NOT fellowship) I love you, I honor you as the District Superintendent - but you are NOT my Bishop and you cannot tell me who I can fellowship and who I CANNOT preach for.
I preached on TV and Radio and was on Rod Parsleys and TD Jakes platform every time they came to town and there were UPC people that ran to their pastors and told them and then it would get the DS all wound up.
It is all about control. They are only doing what they have learned from the unlearned ones before them. Those tactics will NOT work in the 21st century.
