Everything has been great, family, and church.
I just got back on my MTB today, 23 days ago I crashed it into a boulder, broke my helmet, my glasses, and put a hole in my knee cap down to the bone.
Yet, the church family, and my minister brothers prayed, Jesus took care of it, so it healed up real nice.
Today was the first day back on the bike, and rode for six miles.
How are you doing?

I think this should be the scripture that marks true believers, rather than Acts 2:38... or at the very least ... the two of them in conjunction with each other.

We are doing well.
Goodness! A hole to the knee bone had to have been quite painful. But you were in good Hands with the Lord. Glad it only broke your helmet and not you head! They need a preacher like you down there.
You know, I was thinking one day that hubby and I might make a visit down that way for old times sake. It's been 36 years. I bet I won't even recognize the area.

I thought we could pick and choose scripture. We live in a modern age where freedom rules.
I seem to remember the Bible says, "ALL SCRIPTURE IS PROFITABLE!"
Even ones that say, "do good to them who mistreat you." Love your enemies"
Yet, I can't play pick & choose with the Bible!

It hurt, but bled like the time I was shot. I had to ride out of the trails after the crash, my pant leg from the knee cap to the sneaker was soaked in blood. My glasses were broken so I couldn't see, and had to follow one of the church elders out of the trail by following the blur of his silhouette, and listening to him tell me where he was going in the trail. When I got home I jumped into the shower, and when the water hit it I KNEW IT WAS DEEP! The pain burned like fire, but when the adrenalin wore off it was time to sit and ponder how Jesus was going to take care of all of this. All my brothers and sisters called right away and had some very anointed men of God pray for me, and Jesus took care of the rest. I bandaged the knee laid on the bed, and watched the blood seeping through the bandage. This happened on a Thursday, and that is our midweek service night, so I prayed Jesus stop the bleeding and heal this up. By the time we had service the bleeding stopped, and only plasma was slowly leaking. I replaced the bandage and preached that night. After service the brothers wanted to see the wound, so I unbandaged it it was pretty bad.
The brothers and elders looked at me and asked what was my plans?
I said pray?
One of the brothers said how about if we use a butterfly bandage? I agreed, (later found out it never worked) so the brothers went to Walgreens picked up the butterfly bandages, re-wrapped the knee. Then said they wanted to take my MTB so I wouldn't ride it until I healed. I declined to allow that to happen and told them I would wait until the wound healed.
23 days later, I rode for the first time today since the crash.
My Bell helmet cracked down the middle, and if i wasn't wearing it I would probably be deader than fried chicken. I went looking for another Bell MTB helmet today, and a pair of Kyle Straight knee pads.
I'm still going to wait until I go back out into the trails.
Oh, yes Fort Lauderdale has changed BIG TIME in 35 years.
Wilton Manors is the Island of the super freaks now.

Re: Where Are The Real Apostolics?
I probably won't visit Wilton Manors. The freaks were there 36 years ago. Now it is super freaky eh?
Bad memories there. Maybe one day I tell you about it.

Wilton Manors is Doctor Moreau and the Island of Lost Souls.
Its bad, its sad, and the people need salvation worst than the breath of life.

Re: Where Are The Real Apostolics?
Never thought that place would degenerate into this bad of a situation you describe.
