Re: Has Steve Pixler left Apostolic Conservatism?
I checked and this past Sunday and next Sunday's sermons are on finances so I guess we will have to wait a bit for a followup to the sermon that started this thread!

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

It's odd how there the June 29th message, "Courage to Risk it All," then the following week, "Fear Factor: Finding the Courage to Risk it All," but no continuation the past two weeks. IIRC, he mentioned there would be more on the subject. Typically a series isn't interrupted by other series.
Maybe he's saving Part 3 for the Mile High Conference.

If Steve is anything, he's a gentleman and I can't see him using another man's pulpit to cause any type of confusion.

I was kidding. I would be shocked if any Pastor used a conference or other pulpit to preach something which could confuse people.

Re: Has Steve Pixler left Apostolic Conservatism?
I heard a message on HGR yesterday by Cody Marks, titled "Heart Conditions." It reminded me somewhat of the message this post is about. I don't believe Pixler's "gone" or is getting rid of standards.
Cody Marks' message was spot on, though he wasn't getting the shouts and hollers you often hear with message on HGR. His point was you can preach clothesline messages, preach against movies and technology, but if the heart isn't right it doesn't matter.
This is me....if your heart is right, there shouldn't be a need for every other message to be a clothesline message.
