Others on here have echoed my sentiments about this subject. After studying the subject myself it seemed that both camps have their "scriptures" that can be interpreted and put together with other scriptures to prop up their reasoning. There seem to be scriptures that point to a pre-trib rapture, as well as those that would point towards perhaps a mid-trib calling away of the saints. Which will it be?
I have decided that I am looking for Jesus to appear in my life, everywhere, and in every way, and whether I ever get to be taken up in the rapture with my Lord or whether I have to suffer and endure persecution, and tribulation, I pray that my faith and trust in the Lord will not be discouraged should either event take place or not take place.
You see... one thing that has convinced me that a resurrection in our personal physical bodies will take place is when I look at a seed that is put into the ground. It goes into the ground, shriveled, lifeless, and without life evident... but yet there is life residing within that seed, and in due time and place that seed resurrects and becomes a new life. It is that hope that resides in my heart that in due time and season, this old body will be resurrected and changed from corruptible into incorruptible, and that is the hope I hold onto - however it happens, and whenever it happens, my hope in Christ is eternal life, whether by the grave, or by the rapture - either way... it is my hope!

I haven't seen any in 20 some odd years. There simply isn't any. Jesus comes and we resurrect. That is the CLEAR UNAMBIGUOUS DECLARATION of the apostle Paul. It utterly rules out any "pre trib secret rapture". There are no scriptures whatsoever that say we will resurrect BEFORE HIS COMING.
The trinity has more basis than pre trib rapture.

The verse in 1 Thess. 4:15-18 certainly speaks of a rapture where the saints are caught away. I don't see anywhere in scripture where there is a "secret" rapture at all, agreed there. That part is totally rejected by scripture, in my opinion.

Well, back on subject folks.....
Its a fact that the subject of preterism has taken over the thread as expected.
(futurist)Michael and I had a little debate about the "futurists" view of the rapture.
This may help anyone that is trying to sort out the writings concerning Matt. 24 and the rapture.
I have more that I did not use here, but in this debate we chose to stay on subject for the readers' reference.
