I think we should be good stewards of what we have, no matter how little it is....

God is faithful..he will take care of his children - we may not like it or it be what we would choose, but He wont leave us alone.

Eliminating debt - I think as Christians we shouldnt have excessive debt - not debt we acquired b/c we couldnt live within our means...I understand unexpected debt - medical bills, loss of income so you lose your ability to stay current on your car and house payments...etc..

but debt for "disposable" income spending - irresponsible. IMO
Good post.

Sis, I believe "disposable" income is irresponsible. We should spend money purposefully. We should put some thought into it.

Unfortunately, many Americans have been programmed to believe that homes are meant to be amusement parks, and they "spend" borrowed money on silly things they will never even use.

If people save too much money and stop spending altogether, the economy will definitely go in the tank.

Life is a balancing act

That's what my son said today! We have to be careful not to choke our economy with fear!

But the only reason that is so is because we have an economy based on debt rather than based on production.

That is the big piper that we are going to have to pay soon.

So it's our patriotic duty to spend borrowed money?

Huh?

That's how we got into this mess.

You don't earn your paycheck or what?

You sound like you'd be happy if we were depressed. I think I'm going to shoot myself now.

I don't mean charging up a bunch of credit cards.
If you can't pay off your credit cards at the end of the month, don't buy.
