None of my thoughts on this thread have anything to do with my late father. They do have something to do with my 40 plus years of church observation.

I didn't state that every pastor is in that situation. I stated in my original post in this thread the difference between the successful pastors and the not so successful. The first are people person's the second are not.

I choose to attend where a pastor has the heart to be a people person.

I feel for those who attend a church where the pastor is not a people person.

I feel that way in regards to the managers that I have worked for over the years.

There is divison in families, work place, churches and govn't in the world today.

Because many folks do not have the skill to communicate and act in a manner, that is basically respectful.

The carnal mind is working more powerfully today.

In 1 Cor 11:17 Paul talks about disunity in the body.

He then goes into the communion account.

Talking communion should help bring back unity into the body.

I have never been in position with a pastor that resulted in walking away without resolve.

It is about Christ first and then the Pastor and saint.

The onloy button that I have is when someone tries to bring up my late father, as a way of pushing that button.

It is hurtful and shows little to no respect.

I know. But it's a quick and easy strike to make. People will do it constantly. Sometimes without even intending to hurt, but just looking for a quick and easy "comeback."

Your Dad was an honorable man I have NO qualms with him. But it seems you are quick to jump on the bandwagon of every bash the pastor threads. The majority of Pastors would be in the same category as your good Father as far as concern for the saints and the work of God.

He deserved respect and honor but so does every man of God.

My feelings as well.

I listened to some sermons Nathan sent me of his dad preaching. He was an incredible man, and an incredible minister.

I see many ministers who are trying their best. Just like Elder Neckstadt was.

And I imagine that Elder Neckstadt would take his son to task for jumping on every "bash the preacher" thread under the guise of "My 40 years of experience."

I am learning that just because I have observations and experiences doesn't mean folks necessarily want to hear them or think they are as good as I think they are.
