WHo says Americans are too proud to do these jobs? Used to be most construction workers around my area were Americans...Mexican and European and any other...now they are mostly illegals. It's NOT that Americans suddely stopped wanting to do those jobs...it's that NOBODY was enforcing the laws to begin with and these employers realized they could hire illegals and get away with it for less money....

My brother owns his own construction business and has more trouble from the lazy Americans than the illegals. He said if he could hire them, he would, and pay them full wages as well. He can't keep the Americans around cause they would rather drink all night and not show up the next morning.

Dan you aren't even reading what I asked...I did not ask for your solution. I asked WHY do we have to address this issue to begin with. I asked that twice now...why do we have to do anything about those already here?

LOL...where does he live? You want to talk about drinking all night? Non stop parties with loud Mariachi music and heavy drinking is VERY common everywhere...it does not take an American to do that. Anyone can do that. If this really was the real issue no American would be employed and I have known many Americans that worked or used to work in that industry and were NOT drinkers and very responsible workers
