Thank you so much for the prayer!!! I am believing God for an answer. My husband keeps saying that he has the flu, but my version of the flu is much messier than what he has!!!!!!!!!!!

Be thankful that he doesn't have a worse case than he does

Actually, I was living here in Ohio and decided to ride Greyhound up to visit my friend who lived in Michigan (NOT something I will ever do again - no buses for me, thank you!!!) Anyhow, I was scheduled to stay for 2 nights. The morning I was to leave for home, we got up and the Blizzard of '78 had hit full force!!

Mike was just a teen (I was in my early 20's). He and his family attended the church that my friend also went to. So I met him there.

When the blizzard hit, the bus wasn't running for a few days. By the time it was running again, I had decided I liked it there and had found a job. So I just went home, got my stuff and moved there.

Mike actually 'went with' the daughter of my friend that I had gone there to visit. They were an item for quite a long time. And then when my brother came up to visit me and stay with me for a few months, he and Mike became good friends. So he spent alot of time hanging out at my apartment with Thunder (my brother).

Mike's a great guy. It's been nice re-connecting with him on the forums (I was going to say "here", but that's not exactly true, is it?)
Great memories, Margie! Those were the days!

For sure, Mike. And what days they were!! Lots of fun times! I will always thank God for the 3+ years that I spent there.

Do you remember the girl who came up to visit me and then stayed on? She babysat for Al and Virginia for quite a while. Her name was Claudia. Remember - I finally kicked her out and bought her a bus ticket home because she lied and told me she was working at the nursing home, when in reality, they'd never heard of her. Anyhow, she died about 5 years ago. She was working for an elderly couple and living in their home. They found her dead in the bed one morning. The autopsy showed that she'd had lymphoma and hadn't told anyone.

Please pray for my hubby Eddie. I think he has the flu!! He was fine, and then all of a sudden yesterday he started feeling aches & chills, and he has fever and a deep cough. He came in to work today just for an hour or so and had to come back home. He was determined to teach tonight, but he had to let our Associate Pastor do it. Tomorrow night, he's supposed to preach in Savannah, TN at our new work there. He says he doesn't have time to be sick. So he needs God to touch him quickly!!!

Morning all,

Well we didnt find anything last night as by the time I got one kid from my friends house and then took the kids to the hospital to see mom and then got on the road it was already 2 then 2 hrs to get here and then rush hour traffic thru this stupid town is rediculous (now mind you I take the "loop" that takes you AROUND town) and it took me an hour to get thru town "I can get thru Dallas faster then that!!!!"

So I have calls and a few addresses already to check on this morning. When all the realtors open at 8 I will be there!!! They are expecting me so it should be an interesting morning!

We had a nice romantic valentines dinner planned but all got scrapped as it was just too crazy of a night. So we had pizza with a promise to take me to my FAVORITE resteraunt in Dallas next week for vday dinner (totally cool with me that way I dont have to take kids along lol)

So pray pray pray.... oh oh there is this one house I am so curious about.... its supposedly a 4 bdrm ON the lake with beautiful view... what scares me to death is they only want 500 a month?????????? I am very curious as to what it may look like,,,, oh well we is gonna find out!!!!! So pray maybe this is THE house??? Or maybe its the shack I told God I would live in LOL..... either way we shall see

Love yall and have a good day...

ok so I am updating real soon lol.....

The kids are all asleep still in their own room (we got seperate rooms so mommy could at least sleep 1 night without kids crawling in bed w me LOL; so I drove over to one of the houses I had mentioned... OH MY LORD!!!! It WAS the shack that I prayed about LOL... I took pics and will download them later rofl... I cannot believe they are allowed to place something like that for rent or sale!!! It should be condemned... (thank God it wasnt the lake house)

but here is the good part... as I was coming back into the hotel I decided to ask the gentleman working the desk if he knew of any houses... well just so happens he knows of 8 mobile homes (I do not want to go this route but if nothing else we will do what we gotta do after all this is only for 6 months) but he also knew of 4, 3 bdrm homes and 1 4 bdrm!!!! He gave me directions for all of them and as soon as its light out to where I can find my way without getting lost we will head out!!! He also knew of 2 men who rent many houses so he gave me their names and number he said they both have multiple homes they rent out so maybe we will get blessed today after all!

Yall I am so glad this place is called gabbys because I am so gabby today because I am so nervous!!!! I know we are going to find something but I am so nervous about it and also Rob talked to the pastor here... (I threatened him with his life if he dare told him we were ministry prior to this lol) but the pastor has contacted our former pastor and he called and left me a voice mail last night and was talking about how glad he was we were here etc and looked forward to meeting us and wanted to know if he could meet w me and the kids today?!?!?! Yall I am just soooo not sure about this!!! I didnt want to get into a church as soon as we got here and I am scared stiff about meeting them. I have talked to his wife once on the phone and she seems nice enough and all but ughhhhh...... So I am debating whether or not to call him back or just wait until I get back to Dallas and say I was busy and will see him next time I am here... I am gonna call our old pastor and find out how much he told him lol... so I can be prepared... I dont know if he is excited because we are just here or because he has heard that we were well... nevermind yall get the idea....

So on that note,, I think I am just gonna househunt and turn my cell phone off!!!!

Love yall (cant tell I am more gabby when I am nervous can ya??? LOL)
