In light of the virus that’s going around right now. We have a prime opportunity to check and see whether this doctrine is true or false.

One of the promises of this doctrine was that if you paid the half shekel you would not catch communicable diseases. So, people who paid the half shekel and still caught corona virus might be thinking about now.

I know people who claimed to pay that got sick.

Does anyone else know someone who paid the half shekel/temple offering and still caught covid 19?

No, but I heard about a guy who died of alcohol poisoning and the state health department reported him as a COVID19 fatality. Then the county health department publicly rebuked the state for that nonsense. That was in the news.

One of our local ministers told the church to double to 20% and do it with a pure heart if we really want to get a blessing(if 10% is not working)....then soon after he suffered a stroke.

Well, it is perfectly acceptable to teach that God will bless you for giving if you give according to His plan. This implies that God has judged you. Right? I believe that. We have scripture to support that.

So if God is blessing us for good works, would it not be hypocritical to believe he would not chastise us for lying, coveting, and making merchandise of His flock?

What do you think Nicodemus? Because if God chastens whom he loves, being not chastened for teaching false doctrine would equate with being unloved by God.
