Re: Why would a Pastor do this to me ?

Every year we used ot put banners up in the back of the sanctuary that established the theme for that year. After one particularly challenging year my wife proclaimed to me that she had the next theme. That she would even get the banner made and hang it herself on the back wall.

I offer her theme to some of you as it seems appropriate for the hour. She simply wanted it to say 3 words in bright red letters......

I don't think Neck is guilty of "jumping on every bash the preacher thread..." Sorry, just trying to stick up for the guy. There's an aspect to our culture that we were forbidden to ever discuss and I think that has hurt us.

Well, that's some preaching that doesn't need to be bashed.

I have not bashed any pastor. I have concerns about the continued actions of some. I relate more to the managers that I have worked for in sales over the years. The people person managers are respected by those who for them and the customers who buy from them. The elite and those that go about conversations with guns ablazing. Tend to sell to only one type of customer, the same type of person that is just like them.

They leave out the other 90% and many are not asked back into the boardroom of the truely professional C-Level executives.

I don't think it is bashing to expect a minister who represents a congregation, an organization and firstly God to be respectful in actions and in the pulpit..

I agree that many and most are doing their best. The only addition would be to continue to learn not only revelation regarding the pursuit of God.

But also continue to learn about the actions and words that can harm a saint.

Do not be shy to reach out and admit to a mistake.

It shows that we call can be human...

I am learning that just because I have observations and experiences doesn't mean folks necessarily want to hear them or think they are as good as I think they are.
I didn't start the thread nor did I wake up today thinking, "I need to share how some ministers say and do harsh things." But to deny that fact regardless of who is putting the observation into words. Is overlooking so many wounded saints.. Am I amung the wounded, no. Have I talked to the wounded and witness the wounds, yes.

When will my observations and experience be valid?

After 80 years!

In the sales world, Zig Ziglar said to get over it, you have to leave it!

Not leave it behind, leave it!

Re: Why would a Pastor do this to me ?

I'm not sure if it can be done, but if it's possible could admin. close or delete this thread I started. Contrary to what several might believe, I came here because I am broken and hurt and need restoration. It was never my intent to start a lot of Pastor/saint bashing . I don't believe in it nor do I condone it. I do not think I have been disrespectful of ministry or any one else during this forum. If you think otherwise, I am sorry. I guess I'm naive, I thought I might find some answers here or maybe prayer support. But instead many would rather sit and judge and insist that there is more to the story. This is the "story". For any who care, please pray for us.

As always, Peace, Sinatra

Psalm 51:10-12
Please let's stop. To my brother who said it, you're right, this isn't a place to find the answer. So as God is showing me, the place for the answer to my questions will be found on my knees; and if I never know the answer to this, then, HE knows best.

As always, Peace, Sinatra

What do you know, I guess I just found my answer.
