Im not hiding what I believe. I believe in the post tribulation rapture of the Church of Jesus after the events in the book of Revelation. I am not ashamed to say what I believe but apparently you are ashamed of what you believe.

And I cant blame you I would be ashamed to admit it if I were teaching that Jesus came in 70ad and the resurrection had already passed.

But the key is to look to the rest of the bible for the pictures in Revelation.
How do two people do exactly that and come away with two very different conclusions?

lol

It's not the book of HIDING. It's the book of REVEALING.

And everyone in John's day was meant to KNOW what John wrote. Because the books were UNSEALED unlike Daniels' day. It's a horrible tragedy for folks to say we cannot know the Book of Revelation and prophecy since the book is unsealed.
If everyone in John's day was meant to know what he was talking about, why did practically nobody after 70 AD know what he was talking about until at least several centuries later?

Flesh. But that doesn't turn me off seeking God in prayerful study. Again, it always reminds me of this... some look at religions and say it's easier to find a needle in a haystack than to know truth. That's unbelief. That's the result of a thinking that discounts God's personal work with each of us.

They certainly did for centuries. But a lot of those who were writing at the time destroyed writings of others, and most of the early writings have not even been translated yet.

But this all takes away from the need to focus on God and seek Him. It's like so many judge things by what others say. Like one preacher I know who did not even believe God could speak to him now and it was all because he saw how many claimed that and were nutcases.

There's too many variables to caught up in extrabiblical evidence. In the end, the word stands alone. That's good enough for me.

Re: Why I Am A Futurist

Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Hear in this sense is comprehend. John said the one who has, present tense, understanding could calculate count the beast's number in Rev 13. That meant those in his day could know.

But while we say the bible says this and that, others are saying, "But look outside the bible." Seriously?

goodsamaritan,

Check out this. You will see mockery against it by people who did not even read it. If anyone would actually read it they could not deny the pattern of Exodus in Revelation. It proves my point about the manner to study the book.

The guns always come out blazing when someone is detected to begin to see some things we are saying, all in hopes of discouraging it.

Good research, the woman that fled from the dragon into the wilderness. I have seen some similarities between that and the birth of Christ. Herod pursued to kill the baby Jesus. No doubt Herod probably being used by Satan himself. I am not saying that is what I think, but that is what came to my mind at a first read.

Wonderful, then you shouldn't have a problem answering some questions for me? You are the teacher, I am the student. Please, let's begin.

Michael, therefore this is why a Eschatology giant like yourself will be so willing to spoon feed a Eschatological pygmy like myself.

So, please answer my questions
