Well, praise the Lord!
I have been to church!!
Met up with Thad and went to the Holy Convocation around 6:15 to get good seats - - well, that was a tad bit too early - - forgot we are talking about Black church here!
After a couple hours of service, we decided to leave early and grab some BBQ before the late night service. Bro. Epley we ate here just for you!
After BBQ, we walked over to the Peabody to see the famous lobby.
At 10:30 we headed to the rough part of town to Mason Temple for the singing -- it got cranked up around 11:30 as others finally made it from the other service (these folks know how to have long services!!!!)
We had church here!!! Awesome talented singers from all over and shockamoo galore!! We left "early" around 2:00 a.m.

A few hats of ladies that sat around us. It's really hard to hide what you are doing, so the quality of these are really bad.
I saw a lot of this - - it's just a piece of fake fur wrapped around the head with a foot long hat pin stuck in it - I can just see this being the next fashion statement at GC. That crystal-like thing is the end of the hat pin - it looked like a small paper weight.

Funny pics!!!
Well, CC1 and his wife are on their way to Jackson as I write. Eddie, Me, Renda and Thad, Jeanie & Keith and possibly Tamor will all meet here at my house and then we will all go to CATFISH CABIN!! That's a southern tradition and you just can't get fried catfish and hushpuppies in California! After stuffing ourselves there, we will all come back here and I have made Pina Colada Cake and Gooey Cake, so we can visit and pig out on sweets.  Can't wait to see everyone!
