So the New Jerusalem is in heaven but came out of heaven, but has sinners outside it's gates but no sinners now on earth, but they are now judged and cast into in hell but are now in heaven, just outside the gates?
Confusing!

The New Jerusalem is in heaven, being PRESENTED in the verse.
The sinners never reached the gates. That is the Lords' commentary about them.
Brother, please dont be confused.
These metaphors you believe in have even caused you to make fun of the passage you are simply reading, to create an excuse to re-invent the meanings of the words.(I already caught the others' doing the same thing)

Guys, when I married my wife, we were in a large church.
She came down the balcony to be presented to me, with a spotlight on her.
We were still in the same church.
