Newspapers? You mean like dinner on the grounds? Yeah, you can really compare that with Television? You can't, and this resolution was NOT for the little guy it was for those who can put on the BIG SHOW. That's the truth.

VeggieTales talks about New Testament principles (loving your neighbor ("Are You My Neighbor?"), not fearing things 'cuz God is on our side (I don't know the episode, but i has the song that goes "God is Bigger than the boogieman, he's bigger than godzilla or the monsters on tv... Yeah, God is bigger than the boogieman, and he's watching over you and me"), not being greedy/anti-commercialism (the Madame Blueberry episode), and a few others)... Plus it has OT stories (Dave & the Giant Pickle, Josh & the Big Wall, Esther, Jonah, etc.)

if you knew anything about cable advertising... any idiot can do it cheaply, especially nowadays with decent video editing equiptment and programs being cheap (thus its cheap to find people who can make a commercial for you that looks good)...
like $5 tops for a spot on cable... and like $50 for decent broadcast spots... I'm sure even primetime spots aren't that expensive unless you want like Lost or Heroes...

They are all mediums of commercialism. You were the one that made the issue "commercialized". If that is really true, the UPC has been commercialized for decades by advertising on Radio, street corners, newspapers, magazines and internet.
TV is just another means of doing the same thing. It does not make the UPC more commercialized, however it does have a larger target audience. Im not sure why that's a bad thing to you guys.

He won't listen to that kind of logic. Tv1 already made that point. I made it once before. Our local cable had a free channel where local groups could advertise for free and even broadcast services cheaply

Television is entertainment AND information and so is the Internet. Which is really irrelevant anyways, we advertise (see commercialize) on the Internet and now we can do it on TV
