I'm sure that was a good message though! Also it's the little foxes that spoil

She meant, Mankind. She said it is worse than childbirth. My wife could not believe how bad it was, and she has delivered 4 full term babies. My wife and I thought I was going to die! I'm serious!

I couldn't get off of the floor. I was laid out, doubled over in unbelievable pain and moaning (almost screaming). My wife called 911 and when the paramedics arrived, they gave me 3 shots and I was still in horrific pain, but was able to at least get on the stretcher.

I was rushed to the emergency room in the ambulance and was given more medicine through the IV, trying to stop the pain so I could get a CAT SCAN. I was moaning to the point that when my wife walked into the Emergency room, she could hear me above all the other patients, and demanded that they give me something to stop the pain.

After 2-3 hours, they were able to see on the CAT SCAN that I had the stone and they administered a shot that finally gave me relief. They told me the medicine was so strong, I should begin throwing up, which I never did. I was horrified to leave the hospital. They let me stay there until my wife could go to the Pharmacy to get medication in case I had another attack.

Other people, including women, have told me about how bad a kidney stone attack is, but I had no idea until that morning. All I can say is, it was UNBELIEVABLE!

Bro. NFS,
I was not meaning that it wasn't terribly painful. I have heard other men,
brother in law, etc. that described it much like you did. But can you imagine
what a woman goes through to have a child. There is pain in childbirth and
travail. A man has no idea. Like we were talking about on another thread,
we can't relate to what we haven't gone through, can we. I've never had a
kidney stone but I have given birth several times.
I just hope you never have another one!

Re: The Thief on the Cross

Is that what the story says? No, it is not.

The story says (1) thief mocked Jesus and the 2nd thief defended him. So, if both thieves mocked Jesus then one repented wouldnt that be the narrative?

The fact is Prax that there are (2) versions that say one thing and (1) version that says another and neither version describes what you say happened.

You are grasping for straws. Is this another typical Islamic attempt at disproving the validity of the bible?

The word of God is meant to be taken as a whole. Put all the records together and get the full picture. Prax was on the money.

We've totally hijacked this Thread!!

I was talking to my wife about this last night, and she made a great point I never thought about. She said, "The birth canal is designed to adjust for the baby to come out, but a kidney stone going through the urinary tract is a different story."

I don’t remember, but she said the doctor mentioned this analogy in the Emergency Room.

NFS, I thought of that when I mentioned the labor pains vs the kidney
stones. I have heard that passing kidney stones is worse than having a
baby. I have never had kidney stones but I have had several babies without
any type of medication. But I learned how to get in the Spirit having babies.
Glad the kidney stones are behind you, and also that my child-bearing days
are behind me too. God is good to us all!
Keep on preaching the gospel!

Re: The Thief on the Cross

I did not add an opinion or intepretation to the written words, nor did I guess what could have happened, nor did I give any input into what I think happened based on differing versions of the same story. This is what you do and this is not what I do.

Taking literal words and copying them and pasting them one beside the other is hardly grasping for straws. The words are there, and they are, as written, in direct contradiction to one another.

What is typical is using personal opinion by you and your peers aka adding a jot here and a tittle there to make a conjecture as to what two conflicting and opposite stories mean while holding firmly to the fact that as written they both have to be true and accurate because of where they come from. However, as written, neither can possibly be accurate which draws a question as to how many other inaccuracies can there be?

You are btw in no position to declare what the word of God is meant to be or how it is meant to be taken. That determination is made a little over your head isnt it.

LOL!! Indeed we have hijacked this thread! After all, what does kidney
stones and having babies have to do with "The Thief On The Cross"!
