well, the truth or lie would be discovered in examining what this "something else" is. Although I'm sure this will read as heresy to you, there are no physical eyes or feet in heaven, and there can be no fire-a chemical reaction-in hell. well, how does one directly compare the spiritual with only an earthly vocabulary? The meaning of any one might be open-ended, but by having many, and approaching the same direct spiritual idea from multiple earthly perspectives, the truth is discerned (which is how people come to some understanding of preterism, having started out just like you).

see, you just won't talk this way when you have a better understanding, imo. We are trapped in the physical, and so we assume physical definitions for everything. "Blobs." Everyone in heaven--if there is anyone in heaven--must be blind, because no one has eyes, per se, in heaven. Well then, how many angels can dance on a pin?

Fire in eternity is not real, also; but that does not mean that it is not a really good metaphor for what the unprepared will suffer. "Fire" is just surely the best analogy available.

You take a simple flower, show it to your disciple, then tell them the God cares about them.

No rhymes, no hidden ideas, no double speak, no wondering how many applications can be made.

Have you ever noticed that the Apostles only wrote the Word of God, but no "commentaries" about the Word of God.

Where did all the commentaries come from?

Get back to the Bible, use your brain and figure out what it is telling you.(just as if you were one of the ones in the actual audience of Jesus).

And by all means, stop letting your mind wander off of the subject that Jesus is telling you about...into metaphorland.
