Thank you for remembering me on my birthday.
We've celebrated it for a couple of days.
Tuesday my daughter and her kids (ages 16, 13, 10, and 6) came for dinner with a birthday cake and a gift. The three younger ones helped get the Christmas tree out of the basement, assembled and decorated.
A 21 year old grand daughter stays with us a few days a week so she does not have to drive so far to school. She was with us Tuesday night and brought me a box of dark Godiva chocolate.
My oldest son met Pat, me and Lindsey (the 21 year old who happens to be his daughter) at Pappadeaux and treated us to lunch Wednesday. The servings are so large that I brought about half of mine home and it was my dinner. I also brought home a dessert which Lindsey and I shared when she got home from school that night.
I've received cards from friends and also from my daughter in OK. My son in MI called and my other son who lives in the Cincinnati area but was traveling in RI also called.
I guess 70 is kind of a milestone. In a way it seems like it hasn't been very long at all and in a way it seems like it's been years and years.
