I just said that he probably regrets a lot of choices, brokeback being one of them.

Hollywood is in a mess. Heath is just one of many.

Lindsay, Britney..... all on a pathway of destruction in the pursuit of fame.

Sad.

CNN reporter speaking now is elaborating on the interview he had with Heath Ledger about six weeks ago where Heath was commenting on how disturbed he had become playing the Joker in the new Batman movie.

He said he was had been having trouble sleeping since playing that role and was taking Ambien. That one ambien did not work and even when he would then take a second one he would only sleep about an hour.

The reporter said he appeared dishelveled, unkept, jumpy, etc., during that interview.

I would think he either had mental issues, demon oppression / possession, or both. Mix that with drug addiction and sleeping medications and that is a lethal combination.

I does have to do with God being absent from many unhappy and unsatisfactory lives.

Absolutely! One more incident that proves fame, looks, and money do not bring happiness.

Brokeback Mountain didn't hurt his career; in many ways, it probably boosted it. Whether America in general liked the movie or not, Hollywood of course oohed and aahed over it in their usual lascivious manner.

I agree with Felicity and whoever else said--its just a tough way of life, and some people can't take it. Understandable, really. Sad, definitely.

First of all, Hollywood is "evil" because they put out evil stuff, not because they broadcast on TV.

Anyone with with even minimal discernment knows that Hollywood has long been a tool of the devil, whether they watch TV or not! So whats your point?
The point is that many don't think Hollywood is worth saving.... because they broadcast on TV. Just look at some of the fellow posters with their one sentence "We don't do that in our church..." lines.

Thank GOD they are in the minority.

Hollywood can't be saved!

However, by God's Grace it would be nice to see some movie people come to God.

I heard quite a few years ago that Robert Redford & Robert Duvall dropped into one of our California Churches for service.

I am sure they immediately were convicted of their short sleeve shirts and shorts.

(Robert Duval spent a lot of time with a former UPC preacher in the South preparing for filming "The Apostle" and I believe also befriended some other Pentecostal preachers during that period of time)
