People in the OT didn't have the full counsel of God as we do today in His word. I guess the reason for this thread is from a growing frustration with nothing happening in the spiritual realm though I believe if Israel ever builds a third temple there will be a widespread revival. I guess it's just frustration with preachers saying God spoke to me and its usually trivial matters when I think that God would speak about much grander matters and people would fall to the ground as dead men if they really heard the voice of God.
I'm frustrated in my own way, because I believe the church is not walking in the fullness of its power as God intended. I firmly believe we don't see as many miracles, spiritual gifts, healings etc. as we should... but that doesn't shake my faith in God and His word.
And I still believe the church's best days are ahead of it, not behind it.
