You may be right Mark. A death sentence would probably make most of us bitter.

Re: Testimony of God's Healing

I spent time going over the history of chosenbyone today and I thought I would repost some of the pics from my re-baptism last year.

Hello, all -

I have marvelled at the works of the Lord all day! If there was one thing that I would say was my biggest lesson of 2008 so far, it would be 'don't underestimate faith'.

Faith was something that seemed elusive to me for so many years. Don't get me wrong, I knew what faith was when I read about the men of God in the bible and the great accounts from the mission field. I loved the stories of men and women of faith.

Unfortunately, I lived almost my entire life not knowing that my personal faith had failed to develop. My eyes were always on someone else's miracle and testimony of faith and not on Jesus and the testimony he had waiting for me. God brought me along this journey so that I could finally be at a place to except this wonderful gift of faith. I pray that this gift continues to grow more and more...

Thanks again, everyone for being such wonderful, dear people.

Your brother in Christ,

Kenneth

PS: I will be doing a internet fast, but I look forward to catching up with you next week.

I became a reclusive, bitter man yet God saw what he wanted me to be and he used you to help me realize God's plan. Last summer, several of you met me here in Houston to stand witness at my rebaptizim where my healing started that Sunday afternoon.

It has been a year of many ups and downs and I had noticed several months ago a pain (ache) in my left thigh and pelvic region. I had stopped my HIV meds quite a long time ago, mostly due to financial problems and no insurance coverage.

After having the HIV virus for nearly ten years now, I knew that, unless God intervened and healed me, that the chances of my disease progressing expeditiously would be very likely.

A few weeks ago, I went in to see a specialist who did a very thorough examination, including ultrasound, xrays, CT-scan and a slew of blood work. After his initial assessment, there were two tumors that appeared, which seemed to bring great concern to him and his colleagues.

One tumor that was located near my hip/pelvic area was over 6cm and the smaller one was 4cm located in my groin area. I contacted a few of my friends here on AFF to ask for them to pray, which they did and I know made a big difference.

Last Tuesday before last at 7:00am, I was lying on a table at UT Imaging where more scans were taken and biopsies followed that morning of the two tumors. As I was lying there, my mind was filled with all the wonderful friends here that have encouraged me and I felt such a peace knowing that I had so many good friends believing for a good report.

Well, this morning was the day I had to go in and get my results from the radiologist from UT Imaging and from the various blood work taken a couple of weeks ago.

I had ask my caretaker from last year if he would go with me and he agreed. He kept on asking me if I was nervous and I said, "No, God is going to heal me Allen!", which he kept on telling me, "Yeah, right!".

The doctor came in and reviewed the blood work first, which were my t-cell count, viral load and the results from the tumor markers. The doctor looked very puzzled and of course I was asking, "So, what's the news!". He left the room which seemed like forever and one of his colleagues came in with him.

He kept asking me, "So, you're telling me that you have not been on any HIV medications since last year?". Which I replied, "No, doctor, you have my complete medical records right there." He asked me that two other times and my answer was the same each time.

Well, look what the Lord has done...My viral load, which measures the amount of virus present in my body, which last year was over 800,000 was today only 20,000!!! I just began to laugh with joy and with tears streaming down my face began to just worship the Lord. The friend who went with me almost fell out and he kept repeating, "NO, way, you are so lucky" and I came back each time saying, "No, Allen, not lucky, blessed to know Jesus my healer". All of my other labs came back NORMAL! No liver damage...God healed my liver! The doctors didn't know what in the world was happening, but I did! My t-cell count which was around 28 climbed to 401, PRAISE THE LORD! The t-cell count in a healthy individual is around 1,000. What this means was that I no longer have AIDS, but I still have the HIV virus.

Now, the tumors. The larger tumor appeared to have shrunk by 3cm! Praise the Lord. I told them that I was going to be their first case of a genuine healing from this disease! They scheduled me to go back for some more test, but I am steadfast that I am healed. It's only a matter of time before my t-cell count is normal and my viral load is too!

I cannot stop crying just thinking about what I have gone through and to see the faithfulness of my loving Saviour and Healer - Jesus.

I called my Dad to share with him the miracles that have happened and all he could do was weep. Praise God!

Thank you AFF family and especially Jesus for all he has done and will do in my life!

Please rejoice with me today, because God is so worthy of all the praise and thanksgiving!

Love,

Kenneth

PS: I will be off line for a few hours today, but I just wanted everyone to know the good news.

My obedience to the Lord prolongs my life. (Prov. 10:27)

The measure of faith God gave me is growing by leaps and bounds. (Rom. 12:3)

I discern the Lord's body and receive all that He has provided for me, including healing for my physical body. (1Cor.11:23-30)

wonderful news!
