Re: WD-40 (Interesting Uses)

According to what I've heard, Earl Scruggs always put a little of his hair tonic on his banjo strings before he played the banjo. Not sure what kind of hair tonic he used.

Re: WD-40 (Interesting Uses)

as far as using wd 40 on guitars,,,,the petroleum distillates are not good for the wood nor its finishes...Finger Ease is a silicone based product I think...I prefer baby powder on the back of a finished (polyurathane) neck....smells good too!!!!

Re: WD-40 (Interesting Uses)

I got that email a few weeks ago and thought, wow!, but I just filed it for "later".
My sil sends tons of emails that are too good to be true.

Re: WD-40 (Interesting Uses)

You can fix anything with WD-40 and duct tape.

If it is supposed to move and doesn't--- use WD-40

If it moves and is not supposed to-----use duct tape

Re: WD-40 (Interesting Uses)

WD-40 was outstanding in Iraq on my M-4.

Cleans and lubricates very well, without attracting as much dust as CLP.

Of course, we were advised to not use WD-40, but I think that the military higher ups make things more difficult than what they have to be just because.

I would NEVER put WD-40 on a burn, that goes against all common sense.
