Re: Temple Muscle Twitching!
It's your trigeminal nerve making you twitch. Some people even get pain in that area (it's just one-sided, right?) that also comes and goes with the twitching.
Trigeminal neuralgia is the name of the condition if you are having pain with it. But the trigeminal nerve is the culprit of the twitching. Try rubbing it and talking calmly, in a soothing tone, to calm it down.

It actually hurts (sometimes) when it is twitching and I try to rub it.
It scares me more than anything as it can happen any time of day. Some mornings, I have been awakened by the twitching.
I find that it happens in spells. I'll be bothered by the twitching intermittently for several days and then it will disappear for a week, two weeks or however long it takes for it to come back.
I don't know what triggers these occurrences.
You are the first person to tell me anything about this!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH HEAVENLY ONE!!!
As it happens, it's only happening on one side. But I have had it on both sides of my head, usually around my temple areas or behind my ears.
Just once on the left side of my head, above my ears and away from my temples.

Well, give me some props because I asked if you were sure it was a muscle or maybe it was a nerve!
