"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Should we be concerned that she hasn't shown up yet?

Yep, ole Hoovie knew what it would take.
Let me tell you something...the man did forevermore preach!!! He preached on faith and miracles. It was awesome.
I did take some pictures, but he was moving so much, that I'm not sure if they are clear, but when my hubby gets in from helping my son with the horses, I'll have him download it.
I have one picture of the Bro. Epley, my husband and boys on my phone, but I don't know how to download it from the phone to the computer.
If anyone has a blackberry curve, could you help me. I'll be glad to post it if I can figure it out.
Anyway, I think he may have performed a miracle, I think I got the Holy Ghost. (You'll have to ask my hubby and Bro. Epley, they may know more than me.....I even took a lap around the building last night. I took a little bit to get my fat self off the organ bench to do so, but I did it...)

Re: Bro. Steve Epley...the countdown begins....
Actually the only reason I am on so early is that it snowed here last night and we woke up to about 5 inches and it was still coming down. They had a two hour late start for my boys at school, and then the bus driver called and said that the roads were too bad and that she had already picked up some kids and the school told her to take them back home that 3 busses had slid off in the ditch and the roads were BAD...so I did not got to work because my husband was having a cow. " If they called school off because the roads are bad, you're not going anywhere....who does he think he is...the husband or something...good grief... ) So I just went back to bed!!!! I showed him...

He only preached for about 30-35 minutes. He did a great job and we were so pleased to have him.
My boys fell in love with him. My oldest told my husband " Dad, out of all the preachers we've had, Bro. Epley is one of my favorites." Now that is a compliment. Colton is very quiet and backward, until you get to know him, and we was very talkative with Bro. Epley right at the first. So, he won him over pretty easily.
