are you a licensed minister with the UPCI?
if so...and you feel like this should be eliminated, then simply follow the procedures to do so. however, should the majority of your brothers decide not to follow your leading...then you have the option to stay and forbear...or leave.
if not...then how is this any of your concern? the UPCI is a club of ministers and if they decide to pass goofy rules and then not enforce them...it is their problem & concern.

Is it not the concern of every member of the body of Christ when ministers do not keep their word? The question is not if they pass rules but not enforce them. The real question is why they are AFRAID to stand against these rules?

Baron, don't most municipalities have laws on the books that are not enforced?
Eventially terms are clarifed and redefined and the books get cleaned up.

I guess the question becomes, would it be enforced?
I'm not sure that a comparison to civil law is a fair one.

I don't think they are afraid - rather most realize there is dissent and are happy to live and let live for the sake of peace. Iit will be reflected in writing in time.

You don't think those who have TV's are afraid to state their position openly? I have been told more than once not to say anything about certain pastors having TVs. I also am aware of others who use their computer to watch the TV shows but claim not to have a TV.

I think the tv thing is over rated everyone I go to church with has one except the old school folks that but all the younger folks have one my pastor does not have one but the assistant pastor does he does not preach against it..just like the song goes..be careful little eyes what you see..just use good commom sense specially with kids they catch on to things so fast..

I am not anti-TV. I have one with pretty serious blocks on it, I had to unblock UFC for my son the other night.
And for the record I am not calling pastors hypocrites that have TV's, I just wouldn't be able to sign the affirmation statement and have one in good conscience.
