Re: Best gift THIS year
I had an awesome day with my girls... I didn't get any physical gifts, but I was so happy that there was peace as sometimes there is way too much drama in my house between three teen girls... I have had peace today... no fussing, no arguing... we have watched Christmas movies and played games... grazed on food pretty much all day long.
The girls got PJ's and some clothes.. Elaine got a life application bible (she asked for a bible).
We went to see my mom and she was talking... that was a great present as well.
Glad everyone had a Merry Christmas.

Re: Best gift THIS year
The best thing I got this year was a gift card which I proceeded to use to buy a nice pair of Polk speakers which are just small enough to fit on my computer desk. I now am hearing my music like I haven't in a long time. A long time.....

Of course digital cameras are readily available for other pics but this POGO camera has a printer and the prints have backs with sticky adhesive.
Some reports require more detail and must be done in the office, but we do alot of repairs, and many of the smaller jobs can be closed on site with a handwritten proposal. It is always good to leave photos in such a case to show what you are going to fix. That way they can show a spouse or family member.
When the issue is on top of a twenty foot chimney it's hidden from most folks. If I can leave a pic or two (stick them directly on the proposal with commentary) it avoids a lot of second guessing and questions.

Wow! Call me a stereotyper, but I thought all you guys did was take a broom and dance and sing on the rooftops... "Chim chimney chim chimney, chim chim cherooo... good luck will rub off when I stand next to you"
Next you are going to ruin the whole image by telling me you do NOT speak in a british accent???
But really, that makes a lot of sense, I just had no idea, you have a big job! Do you have employees? or do you do all yourself?

Ok I heard your official explanation. But I heard that the camera was to document what was taking place in peoples backyards while you hide behind a chimney and look on.

British? No, I am German, but I have a few families that run out to shake hands to get the "good luck".
My wife is full time in the office in the busy season (besides homeschooling) and part-time the rest of the year. Our other employees are part-time and work about 1200 hrs a year combined. We do a fair number of stove/chimney installations (about 50 a year) and relining of chimneys.
This one is not me. I have swept chimneys in London though, and a part of their business is making a presence at weddings!

Yeah, I suppose so.... lol. Add to that the Horse & Buggy Mennonite upbringing, and pretty much anyone has a question or two...
Sorry everyone, did not mean to take over this thread!!

Re: Best gift THIS year
It was just wonderful to be home with my immediate family. I am thankful for health and keeping our heads above water and each other. I did get some thoughtful gifts too.
