Re: This Is A Sad Month For Me
For none of us are guaranteed another day. The comforting thought is that heaven awaits for us where we shall meet again in the home where love will be made perfect.
May the peace and comfort that only our Lord can provide, cuddle you the blessed hope that just a little further on, you will be with them again. Glad day of reunion, it is sure to be.

If you were within driving distance to me, I would get in the car right now, drive to your house, ring your doorbell and give you the biggest hug ever. Then I would sit beside you on your couch and listen to you tell me everything that made your loved ones so special.

Thanks, Margie. And people wonder why AFF is so special to us. Even though most of us have never met, the words we exchange sure do matter.

Re: This Is A Sad Month For Me
February has some difficult memories for me too, though not nearly as difficult as your losses. You're in my prayers.

Tell your loved ones you love them today, even if they're gone.
I loved you Mama, John Michael, and Amelia Nicole. Thankful that I know y'all are free of pain, and are with our Heavenly Father. Will see y'all again someday.

I have always been particularly sensitive to people who would get on AFF / NFCF and try to minimize it by saying it was only entertainment, etc.
It was AFF / NFCF that helped me retain my sanity during my sons two tours of duty as a United State Marine in the Al Anbar province of Iraq.
The friends I made on here who held my son and myself and my wife up in prayer and gave us encouragement was priceless beyond words.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

I know what you mean, Sam. It's not flip at all. Therein lies my hope of seeing them again.

Re: This Is A Sad Month For Me
Cindy, thanks for sharing with all of us your losses in life and your emotions this month. In doing so others have shared as well and I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes.
I hope we don't all have to wait till we get to heaven to meet each other. Maybe someday some one can design a way for us all to share with each other who we really are where none of the folks on the "closed threads" can see!
I personally think AFF is a "top notch" group and I'm glad to be a part of it.

Absolutely, CC1. I could not have made it thru Walt's aneurysm without all of you either. I don't care what anyone says - this place is a "God thing"!
