I agree with you on this one. Speaking to the visiting minister privately and not inviting him back to preach would be enough. Shaming someone in public isn't cool.
As for RM being hypocritical, I'm sure that not of us have ever been hypocrites at one time or another. Where's the grace of God?

It's possible. But some Pentecostals consider it their obligation to dance and shout during worship and preaching regardless of what is said. I don't understand that personally, but I do know some folks like that.

I think that the dancing and shouting show him reacting to the Spirit of God (or maybe emotions)... either way people don't dance and shout simply because they agree with something.

I'm with you! Why should RM get a pass on this one? He certainly didn't give the online preacher a pass, did he? He ridiculed the preacher for using a rock song as a sermon illustration. He led that church to believe that the use of "worldly music" was very wrong--giving the people there, and anyone who watched it on the internet, the impression that those who do this are compromisers, are backslide, and don't believe anything. This is essentially saying they are lost and hell bound!
Then one week later the impression is, "Forget what I said last week, it's ok here because we know we have the right doctrine and stuff going on....."
Give me a break.....

I have seen so many lies posted. The best one is the one Triumphant 1 did his best to combat. You know, the hair cutting party thing?
Prominent members of this board chose to believe the lie and even continue to spread it, even though T1 had totally proved it was false.

Re: A Relevant Holiness Message
Wow, is there a group of people that he DIDN'T offend with that little diatribe? Let's see, white people's music stinks, Murrell Ewing's singing puts him in a coma, black people shiver at the name James Brown, Mexicans don't even know James Brown, but they do know Santa Ana, wasn't sure if the keyboard player was male or female, barely looked, as he said....they weren't important. Uh, ok, apparently, many of the UPC officials wear toupees.......cowboys don't know how to have church, and only give the minimum......he even makes former drug addicts look bad, since one can have an LSD flare up at any time......did that about cover it?
Oh, and one point of clarification, Daniel....."Blinded by the Light" was not sung by Bruce Springsteen, but by Manfred Mann's Earth Band!

Sounded like the night at the Improv or Apollo.
We're both right, Mike ...

"Blinded by the Light" was the first song on, and first single from Bruce Springsteen's 1973 debut album Greetings from Asbury Park N.J. the band's version was unsuccessful and did not appear on the music charts.

Also, after thinking about it for a few minutes, when GP said the keyboard player knew who Santa Ana was, I wonder if he meant Santana? As in Carlos Santana, one of the greatest guitar players ever?
