my point being, compared to real looking women my age I look good
compared to fashion magazine models, I don't really stack up
just the facts
IMO some "stars" for lack of a better term and models are just UGLY. I have seen very many beautiful women that go to UPC churches, Baptists churches, etc. Without make up or fancy clothes.

I have a daughter modeling now, and those pictures are really beautiful, but seriously, there is so much editing...it is amazing what they do...they are really just ordinary looking people underneath.

Photoshop is great, it is amazing what you can do. I am not the artistic one in my family, but both my brother and sister work w/photoshop and love it.
My daughter used to use "pic nic" for her personal snapshots..have you heard of that? She edits photos with her job as a photographer, the modeling is what she does on the side. She is pretty in the unedited ones, but they make her look totally flawless when edited.
I am comfortable being me. I don't hide who I am. I don't look in the mirror too much because my birthmark IS a huge issue, but it is part of who I am. I rate myself as a "4".
If one is painting self etc.... are they really good looking if it's not the real them?
You can't compare yourself to women who not only use cosmetics, but have all kinds of surgery to enhance themsleves.
Sitting here at my desk i can think of several women in the near vicinity who have had breast enhancements, tummy tucks, Tatoo'd makeup, facial dermabrasion, all kinds of stuff to make them look better.
Its so so so so sad that women can be happy with themselves as they are, but feel the need to spend a fortune on enhancements.
But yeah, lots of them look way better once the get done with all the enhancements.
