We have a sleep number too and with a nice mattress pad you don't feel the hump in the middle. We bought a queen and kept it for a couple years then moved it into our guest room and bought a king size - the king size is much more comfortable for two when they want to sides at a different number.

The other issue is that I am a power lifter and have a large wide back and shoulders so getting comfortable is difficult. We have talked about the sleep number and up until recently everyone I talked to loved it...however, here lately I have had several folks tell me they hated it. It is to much money to spend to find out it doesn't work!

Decisions decisions...

They will let you try it I think for about 30 days and if you don't like it they will come pick it up. If you know someone who is a physical/occupational therapist and let them purchase it for you there is a nice discount offered or at least there was when we got both of ours. They may offer that discount to more than just the therapist - not sure but if you are going to get one its worth checking

I have a select comfort. Not the greatest thing for the price I don't think. I would like to try something else.
