Firm in faith or not, when we need to be aware of things it does not mean to take a course on witchcraft, for example, so we know about it. That is opening ourselves for for the enemy to get an inroad into our lives. Would you go to a satanist and take a course on satanism to be aware of satanism? Same thing. Anything to do with Kabbalah is occultic becuase Kabbalah in and of itself is occultic. There is no such thing as studying Kabbalah and not studying the occult. Curiosity killed the cat, you know.
The way to become familiar with it is not to take a course from their teachers, but to study it out from what other believers have researched, and stay safe. You were warned. Seriously.
A person can study Mormonism without going to their classes. A man once took his son and toured the Salt Lake City temple, and his son fell down and went into convulsions at one part of the tour. The tour guide said that was common at that part of the tour. The father had to cast a devil out of his son. He learned a lesson that day. Do not put yourself willingly into the enemy's hands and harm's way.
Studying Kabbalah is a far cry from studying prophetic teachings or similar.
Jer 10:2 KJV Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
