So far Rick Perry would have my vote above the others. Some of them would meet my criteria of the 3 issues but Rick Perry is the only one who publicly called for fasting and prayer and humbling ourselves before Jesus Christ, then shared the stage of the "Response" with the IHOP Ministry team.

Re: CBS Debate Tonight!
On March 7, Gingrich had an idea: impose a no-fly zone in Libya for humanitarian reasons. "This is a moment to get rid of [Qaddafi]. Do it." On March 23, Gingrich decided that was a terrible idea: "The standard [Obama] has fallen back to of humanitarian intervention could apply to Sudan, to North Korea, to Zimbabwe, to Syria this week, to Yemen, to Bahrain. This isn't a serious standard. ... I would not have intervened. I think there were a lot of other ways to affect Qaddafi."

Wa. The man sinned. It's been years, get over it. You'd vote against King David, because he'd not be a poster child of purity...but he'd be the greatest king ever.
Remember, Bathsheba saved Israel twice and secured the throne for her son Solomon. Don't be so squimish, life is often ugly....and good people sin.
Besides, we're electing a President not a pastor.

I'm just saying, at the end of the day, I'm not sure the Conservatives will be happy with the choice. If they are, and he gets the nomination, I will vote for him. But, he has never been my first choice.

Civil Liberties: Gingrich believes that the Supreme Court has become a constitutional convention and that they should leave the Constitution alone. Judges must understand our rights come from God, not the government.

Newt received an M.A. in 1968, and then a PhD in modern European history from Tulane University in New Orleans in 1971.] His dissertation was entitled 'Belgian Education Policy in the Congo: 1945–1960'. While at Tulane, Gingrich, who at the time belonged to no religious group, began attending the St. Charles Avenue Baptist Church to pursue an interest in the effect of religion on political theory; he was soon baptized by Rev. G. Avery Lee.

I read Newt converted to Catholicism because his wife is Catholic. If he is the nominee against Obama I will vote for him unless he blows it along the way.
Rick Santorum seems to be a good choice except one thing. He seems eager to use our Military to intervene in other nations.

Conservative ideologues aren't going to happy with any politician. Politics is the art of compromise. If conservatives ramrod their agenda down Americas throat, they are just as bad as the liberals. I think Newt is someone who can get things done, as he did under Clinton, a Democratic President. He has new and innovative ideas for a new century.
Newt's sin has humbled him. That's a virtue.

Newt would also rock Obama's world in any debate. Perry could be made to look stupid. He already gaffed in front of fellow Republicans. The pressure of the Obama Administration and hostile Democrats could very well make Perry's head spin, leaving him unable to remember his own name. lol
